(RLHS 1937, p 18) 1888 - Chicago & North Western Railway completes construction of almost 46 miles of new track: 6 miles from Lake Geneva to Williams Bay through subsidiary Lake Geneva & State Line Railway, 26.8 miles from Rhinelander to Lac du Flambeau through subsidiary Milwaukee, Lake Shore & Western Railway, and 13 miles from Pratt Junction to a point near Jeffries Junction through subsidiary Wolf & Wisconsin Rivers Railroad.
